MMANews.com has learned that tough Canadian fighter John Alessio, scheduled to make his octagon debut at UFC 60 "Hughes vs. Gracie" on 5/27 against Ultimate Fighter 1 season winner Diego Sanchez, has been in Utah training with the Miletich camp in preparation for the big fight.
The fight was originally scheduled for UFC 58 "USA vs. Canada", but was scrapped when Sanchez got ill from some bad sushi and was forced to pull out of the fight on short notice.
Alessio is working with guys like Matt Hughes and Jeremy Horn in particular, and arrived in Utah to begin training yesterday. He is expected to remain there for at least another week, fine-tuning his skills with one of the best fight teams in the sport today.
