The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Walk of Fame Committee announced today that, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is among several names to be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2008.
Vince McMahon will be receiving a special ceremony and a permanent star on the Walk of Fame, which runs three and a half miles down the sidewalk of Hollywood Boulevard. There is still no date announced of when the ceremony will be held.
The WWE Chairman will be honoured under the Television category for his contributions to the broadcast television industry.
In order to be honoured into the Walk of Fame the honoree has to agree to attend a presentation ceremony within five years of their selection and also pay a fee of $25,000 to the Hollywood Historic Trust which oversees the Walk of Fame.
Expect World Wrestling Entertainment to make a huge deal out of the Walk of Fame
