(UPDATED) BENOIT TRAGEDY - TWO MORE WRESTLERS NAMED IN PHIL ASTIN INDICTMENT
by Phil Lowe
5 July 2007, 5:24 pm EST
As I noted earlier in the week, WrestleMag.com was aware of the two individuals named as “M.J” and “O.G” in the indictment against Dr. Phil Astin at the start of the week, but chose not to name them until a later date.
TMZ.com this afternoon listed them as former WCW and WWE wrestler Mark Jindrak, and WWE’s Rey Mysterio (real name Oscar Gutierrez), who is currently on WWE’s tour of Mexico this week before returning to WWE television in the next couple of weeks after a lengthy layoff through injury.
TMZ this afternoon said that they approached WWE about the development, only for a spokesperson to tell them, “We cannot comment on this ongoing investigation at this time.”
UPDATED: TMZ.com have now pulled the story after telling people they were “recalling” it.
