The parents of identical twins who were separated at birth in Ecuador are suing doctors for allegedly kidnapping one of the babies.

The two girls, Andrea and Marielisa, are now 15 and met recently by accident.

The explanation for their separation varies hugely, depending on who you talk to.

Their biological parents say they were never told they were having twins.

They accused two doctors at the clinic, who are married, of stealing their second child Marielisa. But the doctors involved deny that.

They say the mother knowingly left her child in their care. It is a complicated story that has ended in the Ecuadorian judicial system.

But however it is eventually resolved, the two girls are happy to have found the twin they never knew they had.

Sounds like a case you'd only see in a movie. Sad, but atleast their back together

^Yeah, even if she didn't know when she was pregnant, she HAD to be aware that two different babies came out of her. But even if what the doctors are claiming is true, and the mother was negligent, they still should have reported it to someone. I'm wondering how they pulled this off without anyone questioning where the baby they were raising came from.

Ecuador is a weird place.
