- Vince McMahon told the talent backstage before the 6/26 SmackDown/ECW tapings, the day after word came out about the Benoit tragedy, that the Benoit deal was behind them and they should go back to what they were doing and move on.
- Cody Rhodes was busted open bad thanks to an elbow from Daivari at the 6/30 RAW live show in Baton Rouge, just two days before his RAW television debut. Rhodes started bleeding pretty badly and they quickly went to the finish of the match.
