- The US Bank Arena box office in Cincinnati, Ohio is advertising Batista vs The Great Khali and Ric Flair vs Mark Henry for the 9/1 Smackdown / ECW house show. The following Superstar are being advertised for Raw which will be taped the following night on 9/2 in Columbus, Ohio at the Nationwide Arena. WWE Champion John Cena, Randy Orton, Bobby Lashley, Intercontinental Champion Umaga, Jeff Hardy, Carlito, Cryme Tyme, World Tag Team Champions Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch, Women’s Champion Candice Michelle, along with divas Mickie James and Melina. Tickets are on sale now for both events.

- The August issue of Game Informer mentions that Smackdown vs Raw 2008 may be delayed since the WWE has ordered THQ to remove all traces of Chris Benoit from the video game.
- The lawsuit between DDP and rapper Jay-Z over the use of the Diamond Cutter hand symbol has been settled, reports Mike Johnson. Jay-Z paid Page an undisclosed amount of money and the lawsuit was dropped.
- Dave Scherer reports that WWE is not only opposing TNA's trademark of "VKM" but the "Voodoo Kin Mafia" as well. They are also opposing ESPN's trademark of "Judgement Day" for a new college football program.
