Matthew Perry
Friends star Matthew Perry is sick of being asked to play characters
exactly like Chandler Bing. The actor - who has kept a low profile since the sitcom ended in 2004 - says he'd rather not work that be typecast.

He revealed: "I didn't have an interest in rehashing the same kind of
character. "The parts I was being offered were variations on Chandler Bing.

"That's one of the hazards of spending 10 years on one of the most popular comedies on television - no one wants you to do anything else."

However, Perry has finally secured the kind of role that he's been looking for the last two years. The star has signed up for new drama Studio 60 - a behind-the-scenes look at the players on a late-night sketch comedy show.

Perry told America's New York Post newspaper: "It's kind of a television show about how bad television has become. It takes shots at NBC - the network that's going to air it.

"I think it's a rather significant show for NBC and for television."

He added: "It's much more of a drama.

"It's a pretty real story. My character is kind of this tortured genius
who's kind of a mess. And we'll get to deal with some real issues

It's his own fault for staying in the role so long. this is the same reason the chistpher Ecclestone left the revised Doctor Who shoe after one serries cause all the people that came before him where typecast as the timelord.

He needs to find a role totaly different from chandler, and he needs to find out if he's a good actor or not, cause It'll be hard for people to see him as anything other than Chandler.
