- The original plan for SummerSlam was to have Randy Orton and Batista to win the WWE Title and the World Heavyweight title. The final decision to keep the belt on Cena was made on Friday. Michael Hayes was in charge of suggesting finishes for the Batista/Khali match and Vince didn't like any of them, feeling like they all came off flat. As far as Orton, Vince felt that Randy had gotten so hot that it would make for a perfect big win for Cena. It looks like Orton will now get the rematch and possibly the title at Unforgiven.

- Kane had his ribs taped up at SummerSlam due to a shot from Finlay a few weeks back.

- Vince McMahon was approached with the idea of doing an off season for the WWE a few times in the past couple months but he blew it off every time.

hmmm... sounds interesting that the title will come to Orton at Unforgiven, but you know, its too early... WWE can change their mind even at the very last second...

Off season... Good thought for wrestlers, at least someone seems to care about them, maybe he can pre-record a whole lot of episodes and then just air them while all the wrestlers work hard for all the pre-recorded stuff and then take about a month or so off, just cancel all house shows for like 2 months and pre record 2 months worth of RAW/SD!/ECW.

So the proposed Khali-Batista finishes sucked but the one he decided on according to him didn't? Does that add up. The finish I saw (sadly in person) hurt my feelings, made me cry and then I wet my pants.

I guess it is good business to keep the title off of Orton for another ppv. Makes people actually want to get Unforgiven now to see if they're actually going to give it to him. Then again, it could backfire because after SummerSlam, I know I'm not buying it. Maybe some people will. I just don't have the money to keep buying ppvs where Cena wins it for the hundredth and fifth time.

Orton winning the title at Unforgiven won't be the same if he had won the title at SummerSlam. All his heat that he racked up in the last three months was squashed at SummerSlam. Now he has to get it all back? Lame.
