- As posted earlier, John Cena appears to have been injured in the match with Kennedy last night.

The word coming from backstage is that Cena is believed to have suffered a torn right pectoral muscle after a botched hiptoss on Kennedy that ended with Kennedy landing on Cena. Cena then did an armdrag on Kennedy and the two ended up in the corner, which led to a clean break. Cena backed up to the opposite corner, clearly favoring his arm.

Cena is scheduled to undergo an MRI tomorrow in Alabama. We'll keep you updated on any other details.

It's finally happend!! Cena did one of his "modified" wrestling moves and injured himself. Here's to a new champion at the PPV! :cheers:

Thats funny the only way the belt will go to anybody else is when Cena gets injured. He did finish the match and the after match to. Still have to wait for the MRI results. It might not be as bad as first noted.

I actually don't like to see any wrestler get hurt. I really hate it when a champion gets injured because that just means they lose the belt because they are injured so then u don't find out what the real out come was going to be. If Cena is really hurt it might change the plans big time for No Mercy.

It sounds horrible, but I honestly laughed when reading that, especially the ...or ten' bit.

Hopefully the title will change hands.

i'm not a cena fan but, as someone already noted, i hate to see injuries no matter who the talent may be. especially since injuries have plagued wrestling all year.

hopefully it's not that bad.

well maybe this is a sign that he has been champion too long... :P... well, hope he is alright, but if he is injured, then Im happy, as the A-Hole Randy can get the title now...

Hopefully he's going to be okay. It would just be so anti-climatic for Cena to have to lose the belt after this long due to an injury. I'll be praying for him to get better quickly and make his return as soon as possible, cause monday nights just won't be the same.

Man this blows , as Cena was (ill freely admit it ) was growing on me but the biggest reason as a wrestling fan something i myself kinda got away from a bit but my son really likes him and now 6 to 8 months is a long time to a kid who goes around you cant see me .

Also since im venting as he isnt a mark or reads the dirt sheets anyone wanna explain to him why Cryme Tyme isnt there anymore he liked them too .

I swear WWE cant get it right anymore.

WWF = Greatness
WWE = XFL

Nice comparison there Wolf, and I agree. John Cena is a huge influence to kids and older fans alike. He is a guy that absolutely gives everything he has to the show, to putting on a performance for these fans. With him gone, not only will RAW take a hit as big as losing guys like the Rock and Stone Cold, but since Cena is the only major guy in the top scene right now that has the fan's support, this is gonna be a huge impact for the company as a whole. The only thing I can see now happening is for Triple H to come up and face Randy Orton. I just hope Cena gets better soon enough so the WWE doesn't hit the crapper.

im not a big Cena fan like some of you...but it would have been better seeing him lose it due to creative...not an injury. Either way...WWE gets a breath of fresh air with a title change. Cant see them keeping the belt on an injured superstar, even if it is Cena.

Then again...who knows with WWE these days.
