RAW general manager William Regal opened the show. He announced a double main event for the show. WWE champion Randy Orton would face the WWE Intercontinental champion Jeff Hardy, for the WWE title, and Triple H would have to go one on one with Umaga in a streetfight.
Match #1: Hardcore Holly def. Carlito via roll up
Match #2: World Tag Team Championship:
Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch (c) def. Brian Kendrick & Paul London after Cade nailed Kendrick with sit down powerbomb down to the mat
Match #3: Super Crazy def. Val Venis.
The mexican star was totally over.
Match #4: Snitsky def. Hacksaw Jim Duggan by using his big boot.
A lot of “U-S-A” chants for the veteran Duggan, who by the way appeared bakc in 1992, on the ‘European Rampage tour’, when he beat Col. Mustafa in Munich (which was a live tv-special). Time has gone ...
Match #5: Mr. Kennedy def. Cody Rhodes via roll up.
Kennedy was absolutely over, while the Erfurt crowd told young Cody what they were thinking of him, by chanting “You’re gay”.
Match #6: Balls Mahoney & Tommy Dreamer def. The Miz (w/ Extreme Expose) & Elijah Burke after hitting The Miz with a spinebuster.
The crowed was really into it, with the 4 extremist. “balls, Balls, Balls..” chants for Mahoney threw the entire match.
Match #7: WWE Women’s Championship:
Beth Phoenix (c) sucessfully defended her title against Candice Michelle, by using her brainbuster vertical suplex.
Match #8: Streetfight:
Triple H def. Umaga by pedigree. The Game was absolutelly over.
Match #9: WWE Championship:
Randy Orton (WWE champion) def. Jeff Hardy (Intercontinental champion) after hitting the RKO.
Notes:
- This afternoon, there was an autograph session with Brian Kendrick in a ‘Saturn’ store. Paul London wasn’t there, as it’s been reported by people who were there. About 150 fans were there. You had to get a free ticket before the session, to be part of it. On Saturday WWE champion Randy Orton and Kelly Kelly will be on another autograph session in Cologne.
- The fanfest was held on the afternoon. A lot of fans attended, and were in a were a good mood. The Miz and Extreme Expose members Kelly Kelly and Layla appeared on the fanfest.
- On Saturday’s fanfest in Cologne, the World Tag Team Champions Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch will be the special guests on the fanfest.
- THQ also give the chance to have an inside look on the new “SmackDown! vs. RAW 2008” video game, as the world premiere (!) will take place on the fanfest in Cologne.
- Also on the Cologne fanfest, fans will be able to buy the brand new ‘WWE Magazine”, which will be back for the first time since summer of 2000. The magazine with The Undertaker on the cover will be in stores on Friday October 19.
