Pop Starlet Britney Spears' lawyers have quit because they claim she is "impossible" to work with.
Trope and Trope asked a court on January to be relieved as the singer's legal representatives in her custody battle against ex-husband Kevin Federline for their sons Sean Preston, two, and 15-month-old Jayden James.
Court documents stated: "There has been a breakdown in communications between Spears and Trope and Trope law firm making further representation of her interests impossible."
A court hearing to decide whether Trope and Trope will be relieved of their duties has been set for February 4.
The next hearing in the custody battle for Britney's sons is set for February 19.
The law firm was Britney's third legal team in her ongoing battle with Kevin.
Her first attorney Laura Wasser resigned in September shortly after Britney's divorce from Kevin was finalised. The 26-year-old singer then hired top firm Freid and Goldsman, but they only remained her lawyers for a few days.
Shortly after Trope and Trope took over her case, Britney lost custody of her sons after failing to attend a court-ordered drug test.
Yesterday was a further blow to Britney's custody battle after she failed yet again to attend a court-ordered deposition with Kevin's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan.
This is believed to be the fifth time Britney has missed a pre-arranged meeting to undergo cross-examination about her parenting abilities. She was caught on camera partying just hours after calling in sick to a deposition last month.
Meanwhile, Britney spent the early hours of yesterday morning in a hotel room with her new love interest, 35-year-old paparazzi photographer Adnan Ghalib.
Disguised in a black wig and dark sunglasses, Britney and Adnan checked into Palm Springs Parker Hotel at 2am where they remained in their room together for around five hours.
Last week, Adnan visited the 'Gimme More' singer in the early hours at Beverly Hills' Peninsula Hotel.
He said at the time: "We are just friends. She was just a little upset, pretty much about everything."
