In a interview, editors of Larry Flynt's controversial HUSTLER MAGAZINE gave new details on the Nancy Benoit nude photos that will be revealed in the magazine's upcoming edition.



At first, Larry Flynt Publications did not want to discuss the pictures on the record with anyone from the press. Calls to Mr. Flynt's offices, the executive offices, and editorial guru Bruce David's offices were all met with resistance. This is a different situation for Hustler, which usually thrives on controversy and being tasteless, and these pictures are from a time before Nancy became a wrestling star.

Indeed, Nancy Toffoloni Daus Sullivan Benoit was a major sex symbol in the wrestling world, as she sold a series of THE PRIVATE PHOTOS OF FALLEN ANGEL risque pictures through wrestling magazine ads in 1986. Before adopting the name WOMAN in Ted Turner's WCW and Paul Heyman's original Extreme Championship Wrestling promotions, Nancy was known as The Fallen Angel, a sadomasochistic sex kitten beholden to Kevin Sullivan's implied Satantic Cult.

The photographs, which will appear in the Hustler issue to be released nationally on January 8th, were "taken over 20 years ago by radio disc jockey Mark Samansky."

Samansky was a hot radio dj at Rock 100 WDIZ in Orlando, Florida from 1983-1992, working the 5:30 - 10:00 am shift with Alan Baxter. The duo were billed as Baxter and Mark, and had a big following.

Based on the story behind the pictures, it would appear as though while married to her first husband Jim Daus, Nancy was considering going into a different field other than wrestling. Hustler claims "the photos were intended to springboard Nancy into the world of adult modeling. But before the photos could be sent anywhere, Nancy met and married wrestler Kevin Sullivan, beginning her life as a wrestling personality. While the original print negatives were destroyed at Nancy’s behest, the video survived."

Umm,..I really feel that this thread is very distasteful,...I'd like to remember Nancy Benoit as a woman of wrestling and not of her nude photo's,...she was a good role model for kids and adults in my opinion and she was also a very sweet and understanding person! In my opinion,..this ruins her dignity and integrity,..she did this way before she went into wrestling, I understand that, however,..all of us love and miss Nancy and feel sorry for her and her son and what they both went through with what Chris Benoit did to them last year,..and this thread ruins our memory of her,..I honestly wish that Hustler wouldn't even print those photo's cause I can guarantee you that the wrestling world will be very upset about this!!

I'm even gonna take this a step further and ask the administrators to delete this thread altogether,..this is just very disgusting, and extremely tasteless of the person who started this thread,..and it saddens me as well that this thread was even started!!

While I must agree that there is no real reason to censor this thread, I do have to disagree with the reasoning presented by some...

For instance, DI mentions Marilyn Monroe and ANS. Difference: Those people wanted, and indeed were involved in getting, their nude pictures published. Nancy appears to have not only changed her mind, but to have made a deliberate attempt to destroy these pictures and put the episode in her past.

I think that's the reason people are upset. Not only is it a fairly fresh tragedy, this action is blatantly contrary to the wishes of the subject - who is no longer around to defend herself.
