Thanks to 24Wrestling reader Danny for sending this in:
Dark Match was Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore going over Deuce and Domino...decent match with a few nice high spots
Just like any New York crowd, it was hot all night....many "woo's" and "lets go Giants" and "Cena sucks" chants before the show started...every time Cena was shown on screen, the place would light up with boos...
For the first match, it was mostly pro-Ric Flair as expected, but also many MVP fans out there in the crowd...
For the Jericho/JBL match, was 60/40 Jericho, and what i never knew was how everybody sang along with Jericho's song, as they did Cena, Orton and Edge...im not sure if they do that all the time, but if they do, it doesnt come off on tv as it does live...
Suprisingly, the Edge/Mysterio match, most of the fans were pro-Edge, i would say it was 80/20 Edge...just like everyone there said including myself, the match was the best of the night
Now to the disappointment, the Hardy/Orton match was way too short, and everybody thought there would be more false finishes instead of one RKO and it was over....very dissapointing...the fans were more Hardy, but there were definatly Orton fans out there...
For the Rumble match itself, was of course, very shocking to say the least...Piper was a big suprise, Cena was the biggest of all...Everybody who booed Cena when his face showed on the screen, were the same people cheering when he came out...the place lit up like you wouldnt believe...but when Cena won it, it was a classic Cena mixed reaction...
Biggest Pops:
John Cena
Tommy Dreamer
Triple H
Undertaker
Jeff Hardy/Edge
Biggest Heat:
Marrella dissing the New York Sports Teams
Orton
Mysterio
Jonathan Coachman (when he came out to the announcer's table)
