-- Despite earlier reports, World Wrestling Entertainment announced today that Rey Mysterio Jr will be out action for an estimated 6-9 months following his torn biceps surgery. According to Dr. David Chao, who performed the surgery, the tear was a complete rupture of the tendon. Dr. Chao added that they were able to bring the tendon back down to the elbow where it was needed and then used suture anchors to keep it in place.
In the best case scenario, Mysterio will return at the end of August, worst case scenario, based on the companies announcement, he would miss the remainder of 2008.
