NOTES & NEWS ON DWAYNE JOHNSON, WRESTLEMANIA IN ORLANDO, FCW, SITE OF FIRST TELEVISED BRET VS. FOLEY BOUT BECOMES LANDMARK & MORE

For those of you planning to travel to Orlando next week and worried about parking, Brian Fritz of betweentheropes.com passed on word that the city is planning on setting up shuttle buses from downtown Orlando to the Citrus Bowl. I don't have any more information beyond that at this time, but as soon as we have details, we'll pass them on here on PWInsider.com.

Dwayne Johnson is advertised for NBC's Late Night with Conan O'Brien on 3/26.

Webster Hall, which once hosted a live episode of WWF Shotgun Saturday Night that featured the first-ever televised Bret Hart vs. Mick Foley match and was the site of the first-ever TNA house show in New York City recently, was officially named a city landmark yesterday. The building originally opened in 1886 as a speakeasy during prohibition. Before it's current incarnation as a dance club, it was famed rock venue The Ritz, hosting names like The Ramones and Guns N' Roses. The landmark distinction will prevent the architecture of the building from being destroyed. Thanks to Jeffrey Sheridan.

The word going around WWE developmental talents in the last day was that while they are invited to the WWE Hall of Fame and Wrestlemania, they won't be allowed to attend the after party following the PPV. There was some grumbling about it, but I side with WWE on this one. It's important for the younger guys to see what they are working towards, but there's no need for them to be at the party.

FCW's Steve Keirn has been personally approaching venues trying to get them to sign exclusives to run FCW events and drop local independent shows in the Florida area. The exclusivity deal has caused some venues to turn down the offer. The weekly FCW events in Port Saint Richey have been drawing in the 40-50 range, mostly friends of the workers. Since the influx of OVW, most of the live events have featured 10-12 matches.
