WWE has announced that they will return to the state of Georgia this summer. According to the live events schedule on the official WWE website, there will be a SmackDown/ECW live event at the Savannah Civic Center on July 12, 2008 at 7:30 PM. Tickets go on sale on Saturday, June 14th at 10 AM. WWE has been reluctant to run shows in the state because of possible imposed regulations by the Georgia State Senate under Senate bill 413 which was passed earlier this month. However, the bill was revised the morning before it passed to exclude professional wrestling from the strict regulations that would have called for every wrestler performing in the state to pass a physical and a drug test.
