Floyd Mayweather was on ESPN Radio’s Mike & Mike show this morning hyping Wrestlemania this Sunday. Interesting notes from this interview that I hadn’t heard asked yet:
*What happens if he grabs you and just sits on you? Mayweather didn’t have an answer at first but then responded he is bringing a lot of guys to ring with him and that won’t happen because he’s too quick.
*He also mentioned his entrance is going to be huge and the match will be no holds barred. He will not be wearing boxing gloves.
*They then talked briefly about boxing before selling the PPV again.
Overall I was surprised how they handled Wrestlemania, treating it as the mega event it is and putting it over big. Mike & Mike have never had any wrestling on their show so obviously Floyd’s involvement is giving Vince what he had hoped for.
If you’re an ESPN insider, the interview will be available for download soon at espnradio.com.
Mick Clocher added this.
For what it's worth Floyd Mayweather was on ESPN radio's Mike and Mike in the Morning and said his match will no holds barred. He said "usually wrestling is all planned out but this a little different it's no hold barred" Later in the segment he said you could win by pin or knockout. Floyd also said he was bringing a lot of guys to the ring with him so that was his advantage.
