WSB-TV channel 2 in Atlanta is identifying the steroids and human growth hormones found in a Locust Valley, Georgia home as belonging to ECW star Mike Knox (real name Michael Hettinga).

Going on the 2004 date of the WWE dress code memo found in the boxes, Knox would have been in WWE developmental as part of Deep South Wrestling during that time period. WWE created the Wellness Policy and subsequent drug testing in late 2005 after the death of Eddie Guerrero.

LOCUST GROVE, Ga. -- A Henry County man claims he found a stash of steroids hidden in the attic of a house where a professional wrestler once lived.

Paperwork in the boxes could link them to wrestler Mike Knox, according to police.

The Locust Grove resident said the boxes he turned over to police contained bottles labeled as steroids, testosterone and human growth hormones. The boxes also contained syringes.

Investigators told WSB-TV Channel 2 reporter Jodie Fleischer that Knox once lived in the house. Knox's real name is Michael Hettinga. He is under contract to the WWE, but wrestles on their ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling) circuit.

Fleischer will have more on the next step in the investigation on WSB-TV Channel 2 Action News at 5.

This is nothing but a detriment for WWE. Knox has never really brought anything to the company, but now, due to his carelessness, he's taking a lot away.
