When Raw broadcasts from Toronto, Canada, next Monday night, the cold temperatures will be nothing compared to the chilly reception Randy Orton will likely receive the next time he faces Triple H.
The newly-crowned WWE Champion battled the Legend Killer in a title match last week, with the broadcast ending in a blackout after a disgruntled William Regal pulled the plug on the audio and video. Before ruining the main event for viewers, however, the Raw General Manager did manage to arrange for the two combatants to meet one another next month at Judgment Day in a WWE Championship Steel Cage Match. How will the two Superstars prepare for one another in the prelude to pain?
The discontented King of the Ring saw his coronation ceremony turned upside down thanks to Mr. Kennedy. Not one to follow sovereign protocol, the loudmouth from Green Bay, Wis. came to blows with Regal, who then promised retribution. What punishment awaits Mr. Kennedy compliments of His Royal Pain in the Arse?
It also appears that title-hungry JBL isn’t about to hang up his 10-gallon hat anytime soon. After handily defeating Robbie McAllister last week, the media maven made it perfectly clear that he continues to gun for the title, too. Not one to sit idly by, what does JBL have in store for those who stand between him and the gold? And what exactly will JBL have in mind for John Cena after he embarrassed the “wrestling god” at Backlash?
In other Raw action, Carlito & Santino Marella continue to provoke the anger of World Tag Team Champions Hardcore Holly & Cody Rhodes. Last week, Rhodes defeated Santino, but the Caribbean Bad Apple snuck up on Rhodes and dropped him with a Backstabber. What sly stunts can we expect from “Cantino” this week? Or will the reigning tag team champions have their say?

RAW Results - 5th May, 2008
Location - Toronto, Canada
Announcers - Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler
Last week, the WWE set up a pre-emptive strike on their trip to Canada, otherwise known as BizarroLand with three shows that had to have many of their regular viewers shaking their heads or wondering if Vince Russo was back. We saw one show abruptly end, one show's commentary abruptly end, and one show's champion's reign abruptly end. Now that we are in Canada it is time to celebrate a special anniversary. I am not talking about the 'holiday' when people drink cheap Corona and Tequila. I am talking about the anniversary shows that Frontier Martial Arts Wrestling used to run. So raise your swords high in the air and wait for the clock to run out before the explosives attached to the steel cage are set off because it is time for Raw (which is War spelled backwards). Will Ken Kennedy continue to torment William Regal? What is next for Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho after last week’s Highlight Reel? What about Santino and Roddy Piper?
We start off tonight’s show with a look back at the Royal coronation of William Regal and Ken Kennedy’s interruption. We then see Regal pull the plug on the main event.
We are live from Toronto, Ontario, Canada and your announcers are Jim 'We are going to need a bigger boat to get to the ring' Ross and Jerry 'Is Trish Stratus going to be here tonight' Lawler.
Vince McMahon is in the arena and he says that last week no man has ever done what William Regal did last week. That was pull the plug in the middle of a championship match. Many protested by complaining to the WWE and demanded that Vince appear tonight. McMahon says that he found Regal’s action devoid of any interest in the fans. McMahon finds them innovative and daring as well as visionary. McMahon says that William Regal reminds Vince of himself. Vince says that he supports and endorses Regal as the King and General Manager. Vince demands that the fans show Regal the same respect that the fans give to Vince.
Lillian Garcia is in the ring and she introduces the General King Manager of the Raw WWE William Regal. Regal gets on the mic and he says that you might not like him, but you will respect him. Regal asks the fans if he has their respect. Regal says that he is prepared to turn out the lights at his discretion. Regal tells them to turn off the lights. Regal turns the lights back on and he says that the show will continue but the fans might not see it. Regal says that he is ready to have this entire show in eternal darkness because he will not be disrespected . . .
Ken Kennedy’s music plays and he comes out to the ring. Kennedy says that if Regal wants respect so much then all he has to do is take Kennedy up on his offer and go one-on-one with him in the ring tonight. Regal says that it is a dreadful shame when people don’t know their place. Regal points out that he is Kennedy’s superior and Kennedy asks Regal to prove it. Regal says that Kennedy is in the main event and he will be facing the ECW Champion Kane, as well as the WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison and the Miz, as well as the Money in the Bank Winner CM Punk, plus Chavo Guerrero and Bam Neely. Oh heck, Kennedy will be facing the entire ECW roster. Regal says that he has agreed to promote the 100th episode of ECW. Regal says that he will not be disrespected by any one man.
Time for the Game to come out as Triple H joins Regal and Kennedy in the ring. Hunter apologizes for the intrusion. Unlike Mr. Kennedy Kennedy, he means Regal no disrespect. He wants to congratulate Regal on his new power, as well as give him some advice. If Regal wants to stay in that position, he needs to not make mistakes. Take for example last week. Regal turned the lights out on his match. Hunter says that was a mistake. Then after the show went off the air, Regal came out and ended the match. Regal has disrespected Hunter, and that is a mistake. Hunter tells William Regal that if he wants to maintain his position, you do not want to go to war with him. Regal says that he does not want to do that because he is too busy with his Steel Cage Match at Judgment Day. Hunter has been added to the main event as Ken Kennedy’s tag team partner.
We go to commercial.
