A MAJOR DIS TO SHAWN MICHAELS, REY MYSTERIO TO CROSS BRANDS FOR AT LEAST A NIGHT, NEW WWE CHARACTER NAMED CHARLIE?, PPV PROBLEMS AND MORE
Ben Read sent this from The UK. ... I'm not sure how it went down in the US but over here our viewing of the PPV was ruined by what came up on screen as "a problem with the weather". This basically occured throughout the show, with the PPV skipping in parts. By the time the main event happened it became unwatchable. After telephoning Sky today to see what was going on, I was given a full refund for the PPV and access to all the repeat showings.
Bob Jacobsen reporting. ... On the NASCAR All Star Race pre-show on Speed TV on Saturday night, they showed a montage of Kenny Wallace doing the Ric Flair Strut. Well, his co- anchors egged Kenny to do it live since they were in North Carolina. After he did it, as a surprise (they said it was a surprise, I'm not sure if Kenny knew he would be there, but he seemed surprised), they brought Ric Flair out and he talked for a few minutes about North Carolina, NASCAR and more. He said he was retired since March 30. He showed the watch that Shawn Michaels gave him and mentioned the 24 on it wasn't for Jeff Gordon (it's Jeff's car number), but obviously it was for Wrestlemania 24. Over all it was real cool to see Ric get respect on something other then a wrestling show. You hear about Ric Flair being a legitimate big celebrity in Charlotte, and it was cool to see that on a non wrestling show. ... Thanks to Dan LaFever for also sending a report.
Speaking of Flair, Pat sent this. ... I have been viewing a copy of this year's Wrestlemania, with the Hall of Fame Ceremony. According to Mike Johnson's live reports, Flair said one of the reasons he came back to the wrestling after the failed lawsuit was to work with the new horseman stable of Mongo, Malenko, Benoit etc. However, WWE's version has Benoit's name dubbed over with another reference to Mongo. As always, love the site and since I run a video store and have free access to porn, viewing your site is the best $50 I spend every year.
Pat, I love you not only for supporting the site but also because you have access to free porn!
Steven Fernandes reporting. All I have to say is what did Shawn Michaels do to deserve this? ...
