WWE World champion Rey Mysterio spoke with The Intelliger in West Virginia to promote Smackdown's return there at this link (http://www.theintelligencer.net/community/articles.asp?articleID=6873).

The Record Herald in Pennsylvania has an article in today's edition about WWE Hall of Famer Roddy Piper, discussing his career after a recent local appearance in Blue Ridge. To check out the article, click this link (http://www.therecordherald.com/articles/2006/06/05/local_news/news02.txt).

It appears Aaron Stevens and KC James are being put together as a team as they are working together on the current Smackdown swing. James' OVW tandem with Roadkill was broken up, which could be a sign Roadkill is heading to the revived ECW.

For those of you with Access to The Encore Drama Network, "Lipstick & Dynamite, Piss & Vinegar: The First Ladies of Wrestling", the documentary on the pioneers of women in professional wrestling, which features Penny Banner, Mae Young, and Fabulous Moolah, among others, will be airing this month. It's a decent film with a really unique niche subject that was unfortunately never really marketed well and hasn't found a following yet, but worth checking out if you come across it. It's also currently available on DVD.

Silver Vision - the official licensee for WWE DVDs in the United Kingdom and Europe - have announced today that the UK DVD release of this Sunday’s ECW One Night Stand PPV will be released as a 2-disc set packaged with ECW’s ‘Barely Legal’ PPV that took place back in 1997 - the first ECW show to be broadcast on PPV. For those who need a reminder or perhaps did not follow ECW at the time, the card for that show was follows:

ECW World Championship Match
Raven vs Terry Funk

3-Way Dance
Stevie Richards vs The Sandman vs Terry Funk

Grudge Match
Tazz vs Sabu

ECW World Television Championship Match
Shane Douglas vs Pitbull #2

International Six-Man Tag Match
Great Sasuke, Gran Hamada & Masato Yakushiji vs Taka Michinoku, Terry Boy & Dick Togo

Lance Storm vs Rob Van Dam

ECW Tag Team Championship Match
The Dudleys vs The Eliminators

The 2-disc DVD set will be available via Silver Vision (who are already taking pre-orders) this September, with a general release across the UK from early October.

That's quite cool actually. I don't have Barely Legal on DVD or VHS at the moment, so I might just order it with ONS.
