World Wrestling Entertainment announced today that they have signed D'Lo Brown to return to the company.
After seeing how good Brown looked in a tryout match in New York City several months ago, I am shocked it took them this long to bring him back on board. The general consensus among everyone I spoke to was that he would be signed, then nothing happened.
During his first run with the company, Brown held the Intercontinental and European championships. He was released just as the company started a storyline where Brown, as a heel, would be managed by Teddy Long.
Since departing WWE, Brown had wrestled in TNA and All Japan Pro Wrestling.
