Sydal's New Ring Name Revealed

Based on last night's taping, Matt Sydal will work in WWE under the name of Evan Bourne. You had to expect that change as Vince likes to own the name rights to his superstars.

Yup. Looks like he they will follow the timeless tradition of wrestling: if you pretend that it didn't happen, then it didn't happen. Hey, it's worked for ignoring giving people title shots (especially tag team title shots for some reason...)

Remember when Santino and Carlito came out a few weeks before wrestlemania saying they were the number one contenders? Then, the next week, they weren't even shown on screen together or mention together as Santino became fully involved in the diva match. If they pulled it off with that, then they shouldn't have too hard of a time hoping people forget about the name of someone who got a total of three moves of offense in what was almost a glorified squash match.

...the fact that you remember what happened with Carlito and Santino means that they DIDN'T pull it off. I just think that if they are going to change his name, they did it a week too late. Whatever gimmick he's going to use now is obviously going to be something that was just thrown together at the last minute.
