World Wrestling Entertainment issued the following announcement today:

World Wrestling Entertainment® Suspends Performer

STAMFORD, Conn., June 9, 2008 – In accordance with its Talent Wellness Program, WWE® has suspended James Yun (Jimmy Wang Yang) for 30 days for his first violation of the company’s policy.

You never know, these small guys would take steroids. I remember back in the day when Vince said X-Pac had to get bigger or he would be fired and he got alot bigger than he was very quickly. I have to admit, Yang would not be on my list of people to go because of the Wellness Program.

^ but there's plenty of people on Smackdown much smaller than Yang. Look at Batista's 3 partners from last week's main event. I don' t think it was a case of him being told to beef up. He's not really all that small anyway. He's over 200 lbs.

Why does he need to take steroids?
Why do people just immediately assume that any suspension stemming from a wellness policy violation MUST be because of steroids? WWE's wellness policy is not summed up just by saying, "don't do steroids". There's a large number of other things wrestlers can do, have done, and have been suspended for that could be viewed as being against the wellness policy. Not all of them are even related to drugs.

Big Daddy V, for example, wasn't formally suspended, but was told to take time off to lose weight because he's such a fat ass. That might not be the best example, but even if the suspension is drug-related, it's not automatically steroids. Do you not remember RVD and Sabu being suspended after being caught with weed and some pills?
