The crowd at Mid Hudson Civic Center was almost sold out. It would have been sold out if they did not add 8 extra rows to the floor, which made the floor more packed then it had been since WWE returned to Poughkeepsie in 2002.
Referee Wes Adams was working in and under ring before show, Yo u could hear him moving around the garbage can lids. The Ring Announcer is Justin Roberts.
The crowd got restless at about 7:35 pm as they started yelling “Start the Show! Start the Show!” Two minutes later the show started.
Theodore Long came down to ring and said hello Poughkeepsie! He says we're going to have Edge, Jeff Hardy, Big Show and Michelle McCool here tonight. He goes to run down the card but Armando Estrada comes out. Estrada complains that he wants a match with anyone from backstage or even in the crowd as he said, “I want to beat up a New Yorker!” Long says yo u want to face someone from New York then…. Tommy Dreamer’s Music starts (It's not Dreamers WWE/ECW theme, it's “Man in the Box” by Alice & Chains”).
1. Armando Estrada vs. Tommy Dreamer. Ref is Scott Armstrong.
Crowd chants “ECW!” Dreamer has control most of match and wins with the Dreamer Driver.
Eve Torres is on the wooden stage seating and says she looking for a fan dressed in most WWE garb. She chooses a little boy dressed as Jeff Hardy. She says you get to be a manager for…..Funaki! Wait, isn’t the kid a loser then?
2. Shannon Moore vs. Vladimir Kozlov Ref. Wes Adams.
Vladimir comes out to the song “All for the Motherland” which is on one of the WWE CD’s. He did not come out to his current theme that has been using on Smack down! Vladimir dominates the whole match and hits a weak looking back breaker, then hits a Scoop Lift for the win.
3. Funaki w/ Kid manager (walks down a isle then has to leave) vs. Brian Kendrick w/ Ezekiel. Ref Mickey Henson.
Kendrick's music was his old theme “Hey You” not his new theme that he had on Smackdown! With new gimmick. Long back & Forth match. Funaki looked sloppy in match. Ezekiel blocked Funaki a few times. After that Kendrick hits the “Kendrick” for the win.
4. Umaga vs. Nunzio & Stevie Richards. Ref Scott Armstrong
Nunzio came out to a few cheers & Richards to a few more. Then when Umaga came out he got a huge pop. There were comedy spots with the 2 ECW Originals both not wanting to start then trying a move on Umaga then tagging back & forth about 21 times. Umaga hit the Samoan Spike on Richards for the win. Umaga gave the crowd thumbs up & down then up. Umaga gave Armstrong thumbs up and Armstrong looked scared then smiled and left ring.
5. Natalya vs. Michelle McCool Divas Championship Match Ref Wes Adams.
When Natalya was in control it was by submission holds, which the crowd was silent for. McCool then rallies behind crowd & hits the “Wings of Love” for the win. McCool then hugs everyone around ringside.
Intermission
Eve comes out and picks a kid after she asked at Wrestlemania 24 who did Kane beat to win the ECW Championship. A kid got it and got to ring the bell for next match.
6. John Morrison & Miz vs. Festus & Jesse vs. Curt Hawkins & Zach Ryder in a WWE Tag Title match. Ref Scott Armstrong.
Morrison & Miz come out and tell everyone to be quiet and get into a Zen state of mind with them. They sat down in ring & hummed. Crowd booed. Before the match started Jesse grabbed a sign from the crowd that read “Miz is Gay”. The Crowd started a Loud “Miz is Gay” Chant. Miz kept yelling "No I’m not". Throughout the match. Almost the entire match the crowd chanted “Miz is Gay” at Miz. Jesse had a hard time to stop laughing; Hawkins pointed and laughed at Miz. This was the longest match of the night. Festus never got in until the end. The entire match Festus paced back & forth and waited for the hot tag. Crowd was cheering for him. A weird moment was when somehow Miz & Morrison both became the legal men in match. They did slow motion Martial Arts moves until Miz put 1 finger on Morrison & went for the pinfall, but was broken up by Jesse & Ryder. Festus got the hot tag and took out everyone. Festus & Miz went over the top rope. Jesse had Hawkins rolled up but Ryder rolled them over so that Hawkins got the pinfall. Crowd clapped for Festus & then chanted “Miz is gay” all the way to the back.
VIP Lounge with The Big Show.
MVP comes out in street clothes and says there are no sofas at the VIP Lounge tonight as he is in Poughkeepsie. MVP brings out Big Show and there was some funny and boring stuff. In the end Big Show puts MVP’s chain around his neck & tells MVP I have something for your throat and gives MVP a Choke slam and lays the chain down on MVP.
7. Edge vs. Jeff Hardy. Ref Mickey Henson.
Teddy Long came out and said Vickie Guerrero was making it a No DQ match. Nice match. Crowd was very much behind Hardy. Edge dominated Hardy outside ring & then in ring. Edge brought chair in ring and Hardy hit Twist of Fate on it & then the Swanton Bomb for the win.
