Actress Portia de Rossi and US comedian Ellen DeGeneres have wed during an intimate ceremony at their $33.5m Beverley Hills home.
The couple exchanged handwritten vows during an intimate ceremony witnessed by 19 guests.
An onlooker told the Herald Sun that Ms DeGeneres and Ms de Rossi looked "ecstatic and couldn't keep the smiles off their faces or their eyes off each other".
The couple's closest family and friends looked on as they swapped rings designed by Neil Lane. Portia flew her mother in from Australia specially for the occasion.
Both brides were dressed in oufits by US designer Zac Ponsen. Ms DeGeneres, 50, donned an all white suit in her characteristic masculine style, while Ms de Rossi, 35, wore a pale pink gown.
The couple have been seen gracing the red carpet at various showbiz events during their four years together.
Ms DeGeneres announced their plans to marry on her chat show in May after California's Supreme Court ruled that the ban on gay marriage was unconstitutional.
She said: "It's something that we've wanted to do and we want it to be legal and we are very, very excited."
