- WWE issued a statement yesterday saying they are appealing the Connecticut State Court’s decision to dismiss their claim of bribery and anti-trust against Jakks Pacific. WWE said on their website, “The decision today from Connecticut State Court says that the prior federal court decision in this matter precludes the Connecticut court from allowing WWE to present our case on the merits. We believe the federal court decision was wrong, and we are taking steps to have it corrected on appeal.”
A Connecticut state court dismissed WWE’s claims on Friday that the company filed in 2004, accusing Jakks of bribery to win the licensing agreement for WWE’s toys, figures and games.
