Backstage Reaction To This Week's Horrible Raw Rating

-- Many people in the company weren't unaware of Raw's horrible 2.6 cable rating until the news broke on the internet. They usually get the rating on Tuesday afternoons right before the news breaks online. Anyway, the reaction to the lackluster rating were variations of the remark "Holy S***!" No word yet on Vince McMahon's reaction, or if he plans on doing something about it.

NOW do people believe Smackdown is the better show? It's a stable rating unlike Raw.

It's cause Cena isn't on it and they took the belt off of Punk and put it on Jericho. People lost interest.

Smackdown will never be the better show as long as it's pre-taped and aired on friday nights.

I beg to differ. Just because the rating may be higher for RAW does not mean it is the better show. There was a report that many backstage (Vince and management, etc) feel ECW is the best show right now. And that's what they think. RAW hasn't been the A show for a while. Granted they do have the better roster and some other stuff but overall, but it is not the A show. Smackdown is the A show. They focus on wrestling, not gimmicks.

Smackdown wouldn't even be the A show if it was the only show in the company.The ratings have been flat for years, because people dont want to see wrestling. They wants gimmicks and everything that goes along with "sports entertainment".
