Update on the Ring Returns of Umaga and Elijah Burke

As we reported several week's ago, Elijah Burke has been off ECW television for close to 5 months now, but has since been updating fans through his official website, www.theelijahexpress.com, telling them that he does plan on making a return. In his latest post, Elijah writes, “But fear not! Just know that, “MY COMEBACK SHALL BE GREATER THAN MY SETBACK!” ~ YOUR Pope has Spoken!”

Umaga is being advertised for the January 6, 2009 SmackDown taping in Lafayette, Louisiana. They are advertising a match featuring Umaga, Big Show & Vladimir Kozlov vs. Jeff Hardy, Undertaker and Triple H for the show. Umaga has been out of action since early August due to injury.

Wrestling News World reader Rob sent word that last night during Raw a commercial ran in the East Rutherford, New Jersey area promoting Umaga, Big Show, and Vladimir Kozlov vs. Triple H, Undertaker, and Jeff Hardy in a six-man tag team match for the December 30th ECW/SmackDown taping at the IZOD Center.

Umaga has been out since August 2nd with a torn PCL that occurred during a SmackDown house show in Johnson City, Tennessee. He has been seen recently in Florida Championship Wrestling.
