With Finlay's win over Mark Henry on last night's edition of ECW, he becomes the No. 1 contender to the ECW Title. He will wrestle ECW Champion Matt Hardy next Tuesday for the belt. It's interesting to that Finlay wrestled Matt Hardy in his WWE debut in January 2006. Matt Hardy defeated Finlay by disqualification after Finlay delivered a series of hard crossfaces, ignoring the referee's count. Finlay brutally beat him following the match. Finlay dragged Hardy to the corner, laid his head on the steel steps and stomped down, driving Hardy into the steel in a brutal display. This wasn't followed up on as the two went their separate ways with Hardy not getting revenge.
