GARGANTUAN gods of grapple will thunder into the Granite City to draw up battle lines this weekend. Some of the biggest names of WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) will rumble into the ring during the spectacular at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre on Saturday night.
Tickets for the Survivor Series Tour sold out within hours when they hit the stands back in April.
WWE superstars including Batista, Randy Orton, Kane, Shawn Michaels, CM Punk and Rey Mysterio will take part in a series of colossal bouts during the thrilling live show.
Candice and Beth Phoenix will also go head to head in a women’s championship match.
One of the highlights of the night is sure to be a triple threat match for the world heavyweight title between man mountain Batista, five-time world heavyweight champion Chris Jericho and the leviathan JBL.
The whopping William Regal will also take on Santino Marella in a prizefight for the intercontinental championship title and the world tag team title will also be up for grabs when CM Punk and Kofi Kingston tussle with Cody Rhodes and Manu.
This is the fifth year in a row that the Press and Journal Arena has hosted the WWE roadshow and the big-muscle events always prove a huge hit with north-east fans.
On Saturday, nearly 5,000 of them will chant, shout and cheer these modern-day gladiators to victory.
A WWE spokesman said: “We’re very excited to be heading back to Scotland.
“The fans are always incredible and are some of the most knowledgeable in the world when it comes to WWE.
“The arenas are always sold out and never fail to create an electric atmosphere. We’re certain no one will leave disappointed.”
For fans who missed out this time round, tickets, priced between £30 and £50, are still available for the Wrestlemania Revenge tour, which rolls into the city in April. For tickets, visit www.ticketmaster.co.uk or call 08444 77 9000.
