Former WWE Star Knocks Out Actor During Movie Shoot

Hollywood star Robert Downey Jr. needed medical attention on the set of new Guy Ritchie movie Sherlock Holmes - when he was knocked out by former WWE star Kurgan.

The Iron Man actor was filming a fight scene with seven foot tall co-star Robert Maillet when the big man threw a punch that left Downey Jr. "out cold".

A nurse on set attended to the star and gave him six stitches in his mouth.

A source says, "Robert was accidentally caught on the chin by a thundering hook. He went flying and was out cold.

"He didn't want to go to hospital and kept trying to get up. He's a trooper."

RTE Entertainment in Ireland is reporting that former WWE star Robert Maillet, who performed as Kurrgan in The Oddities, accidentally knocked out actor Robert Downey Jr. with a punch while filming a fight scene for the upcoming "Sherlock Holmes" film, where Downey plays the title character.

Downey needed six stitches to his chin from the punch, although once he regained his bearings, he tried to downplay his injury and refused to go to a hospital to be looked over.
