Regarding the release of ECW Superstar Gavin Spears, the morale of a number of developmental wrestlers dropped upon hearing the news. Spears was considered by many to be the best of the wrestlers in developmental. Despite his call-up to WWE this past August, Spears continued to appear on Florida Championship Wrestling shows.
