The 2009 Royal Rumble pay-per-view will be released on Blu-ray. This will be WWE's second Blu-ray release, the other being WrestleMania XXIV. WWE has been looking to release more pay-per-views on Blu-ray, but their video distributor has been going through some financial problems in recent months.
