The Wrestling Observer is reporting that recently released WWE referee Mickey Henson was in fact battling lymphoma, a form of cancer, when his contract was terminated. Henson had taken a medical leave of absence, as we reported, however it's also being reported that WWE claimed he would remain an employee of the company as he dealt with his condition given the fact that he did not have health insurance. It should be noted that we are uncertain whether or not this was an outright firing or a mutual decision by both sides to part ways.
