It probably wasn't the smartest idea for World Wrestling Entertainment to explain Randy Orton's recent rash of behavior by saying that he had IED (Intermittent Explosive Disorder). According to a variety of medical web sites, IED is defined as "a behavioral disorder characterized by extreme expressions of anger, often to the point of uncontrollable rage." What was even more interesting is that some medical web sites even link it to steroid use. Reports indicate that IE can be exacerbated by steroid use based on chemical changes in the person's brain.

I do have to admit that after reading the symptoms it does for the most part describe the way Orton's character acts.

You know what else describes it perfectly, he's an asshole.

- Speaking of Randy Orton, the (Intermittent explosive disorder) IED, storyline that played out last night on Raw has touched an ironic nerve, considering in some real life studies IED has been linked to steroids. In other words it is a form of roid rage! I also find it funny that Orton’s attorney’s were basically questioning WWE’s “wellness policy” for not looking out for Orton’s condition. It might have made more sense to say the “voices” made him do it.

That being said I think the storyline is ok, it was just Raw’s ending that was preposterous. As if Shane could take on the whole of Legacy! However there might be more to it. Maybe Orton had a reason not to fight.

- Jim Ross had this to say in his latest blog:

“Master Randy Orton slithered into the ring and mouthed an apology but I have to admit I certainly listened to his verbiage closely. Orton is a very compelling character and seems to be the most talked about character on Monday nights based on the reguloar Joe’s I talk to while on the road. I knew that Orton had “issues”, his words not mine, but I never knew the official name for him as most of his peers apparently use the slang for the ailment which has to do with a certain part of the male anatomy. Orton is a red hot star on Raw and will no doubt, unless something shocking occurs, play a vital role at he 25th Anniversary of Wrestlemania whether some folks ike it or not. Whether or not I personally like Orton or I don’t, I can’t wait to see what he does next week on Raw especially after two members of the McMahon Family have now physically assaulted Mr. RKO who hears voices in his head. ”
