A man will appear in court tomorrow charged with the murder of a man in Co Westmeath over 21 years ago.
The 43-year-old man is to be charged with the murder of father-of-four Brian McGrath.
The development follows a recent re-investigation of the case by members of the Serious Crime Review Team - also known as the Garda Cold Case Unit - along with local detectives in the Midlands.
Mr McGrath disappeared from his home in Co Westmeath in 1987.
A body was found six years later buried on land close to Mr McGrath's home.
Last year, the body was exhumed as scientific advances led Gardaí to believe the remains are those of 43-year-old Brian McGrath.
The man, who will appear in court in Athlone District Court charged with murder, was arrested at Dublin Airport this evening.
