Residents in parts of Dublin have been advised to be vigilant after a series of robberies in which people allegedly claiming to be council workers gained access to homes.
Gardaí in Clondalkin and Ballyfermot said three separate robberies were carried out by people claiming to be employees of South Dublin County Council.
It is understood they gained access to houses after claiming they were checking water pressure.
A garda spokesperson said in all of the incidents the contacts made seemed genuine and those involved were wearing South Dublin County Council high visibility jackets.
Anyone with any doubts over the identification of callers in this area is asked to contact the council on 01 4574907.
