With the recent announcement of MyNetworkTV becoming a re-run channel to reduce costs, it doesn't appear Smackdown will air live during WrestleMania 25 weekend. WWE are also having difficulties to convince investors to do a live taping. They have already started to make moves to save costs, such as doing double Smackdown tapings. According to Jim Ross, he doesn't think there would be a full Smackdown TV show taped during WrestleMania week but it could still be a work in progress. "From what I can ascertain, there likely will not be a full, Smackdown TV show taped in Houston during WrestleMania Week," Ross said on jrsbarbq.com. "Friday Night Smackdown may have elements that emanate from WWE Fan Axxess but I don't think an entire SD will be broadcast from that site."
