There has been a back and forth online between WWE star Matt Hardy and former WWE star Paul London online where London has swiped at Hardy in interviews and Hardy has responded back via online blogs:
“All I remember was that I hate Matt Hardy,” London told the False Count radio show when asked about a 2006 Ladder Match that involved the Hardy Boz. “I think he’s a piece of s—. And I was trying to go into that (ladder match at Armageddon 2006) with as much of a professional mindset as possible without trying to murder this person. I think he’s a coward.”
Hardy responded on his Myspace.com blog, penning, "To my hooligan friend-I actually appreciate when crazy, bitter people give me free publicity by addressing me in interviews that are supposed to be about them. Where I’m currently at now in my career, believe it or not, it actually helps promote the Matt Hardy you see on TV. So thanks. Thanks for giving the Black Cloud image credibility. I know you’ve probably got some more interviews coming up, so please, keep on ranting and raving and promoting me. It certainly doesn’t hurt my feelings or my paychecks. Especially when almost 100% of your comments are about nonsensical events and stories that never really happened. But I guess that’s what people that are mentally and emotionally unstable do. It’s really sad actually-when seemingly normal people that are so physically gifted can never capitalize on their talents because they’re psychopaths.”
The heat between London and Hardy was there when both were working the Raw brand as both were personally involved with former WWE Diva Ashley Massaro. So, another Matt Hardy love triangle is the source of all the heat.
At one point, a story online from a "fan" claimed that London had told them in an airport that Massaro was about to do Playboy [Note: PWInsider.com did not run the story at the time]. Those close to London at the time were intensely blaming Hardy for planting a false story online in "an attempt to get London fired" since Hardy knew how to use the Internet to his advantage and get his WWE job back. It eventually all blew over, although London was never used in a pushed position after that story made the rounds.
Perhaps the saddest thing about this is looking on Massaro's Myspace and watching her argue with fans who say she was playing Hardy and London against each other while cheating on both.
The entire thing is quite the train wreck to follow, since it doesn't leave any of the three in a positive light, especially Hardy, who one would think would remember what happened the last time he took relationship issues public. While it's not the type of thing we normally cover here on the site, when all three parties are making their business public, it's fair game.
