Former WWE Intercontinental champion the Honky Tonk Man (Wayne Ferris) says he will be at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony in Houston prior to WrestleMania 25. He won't say whether he's being inducted, though.
"I'll be present at the Hall of Fame, just watching," Ferris told Tim Baines in the Ottawa Sun.
Ferris was involved in Santino Marella's Intercontinental Title program last year, including an appearance at the Cyber Sunday PPV when he was voted to face Santino and the Honk-a-meter. The match was very short and Ferris wishes the program would have extended to set up a match at WrestleMania.
"I wish he'd lasted longer (as Intercontinental champion)," Ferris said. "It would have been good to go to WrestleMania and maybe have a real match with him."
