It's being reported that the release of ECW talent The Boogeyman came to most people as a necessary cut. His gimmick was something that creative felt had little to no shelf life, and Marty Wright, the man working the gimmick, has been plagued with injuries since he began working with WWE. For those who may have forgotten, this was actually Wright's second release from the company, however shortly after his first release Booker T took him under his wing, trained him, and his ring word was said to have improved a bit. However, it was apparently not enough of an improvement as management was still never very high on his in-ring skills, and looked at him as more of a special attraction then a full-time player. With cost-cutting measures in effect within WWE right now, it seemed as if a special attraction was just too much to afford to keep on the road with the company.
