UFC 61 Card Changed
Roger Huerta has pulled out of his scheduled UFC debut, a Lightweight fight originally scheduled with top-contender Hermes Franca. Huerta suffered an elbow injury in training that has forced him off the card at the last minute.
Huerta's teammate Joe Jordan (19-9-2 in MMA) is rumored to have taken the available spot to step in on short notice and take the fight.
If true, he will battle Franca (14-5-0 in MMA) who will be making his UFC return to the recently revived Lightweight division, where almost all fighters in the weight class are only a fight or two away from title contention.
UFC 61 "Bitter Rivals" take place on July 8th and airs on PPV with a double main-event of Tito Ortiz vs. Ken Shamrock II and Tim Sylvia defending his Heavyweight title against former champion Andrei Arlovski in their third encounter.
