Batista was cleared to return to normal workouts towards the end of last month so his return to the ring was considered imminent. Batista healed at an accelerated pace and had said in media interviews he would be able to work WrestleMania but wouldn't be inserted because he was not a part of the build. It is likely WWE officials put him in the 6-man tag at Backlash as opposed to a singles match to take the pressure off him in his first pay-per-view match back. Batista's return was actually hinted around the web, however, we were unable to get confirmation before it happened.

I think Batista should've come out and destroyed Jericho on Monday. They should've put HBK with HHH & Shane. Perhaps a DX reunion?
