Music legend Phil Spector has been found guilty of the murder of a Hollywood actress at his LA home in 2003.
Lana Clarkson, 40, died after a gun was fired into her mouth while she was sitting in the foyer of Spector's hilltop mansion.
A jury returned a unanimous verdict against the 69-year-old producer after a five-month retrial. The first trial ended in a jury deadlock in September 2007.
Both juries heard testimony from Spector's driver claiming Spector emerged from the house brandishing a gun and saying: "I think I killed someone."
But his lawyers maintained Clarkson, an actress and bar hostess, committed suicide.
Prosecutors said Spector was obsessed with guns, and brought forward a string of women who claimed they were threatened by him.
Spector is famed for originating the Wall Of Sound production technique, layering instruments and arrangements to create a dense, echoing sound.
He racked up more than 25 US Top 40 hits between 1960 and 1965 and produced the Beatles' last album Let it Be, released in 1970.
