A police van has hit a 22-year-old pedestrian in north London, leaving her with serious head injuries.
The incident happened at Lansdowne Road's junction with High Road, Tottenham, shortly after 1500 BST.
The van had been responding to an emergency call at the time, a Metropolitan Police spokesman said.
The pedestrian was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. The police van's male driver and female passenger were treated for shock.
The collision will be investigated by the Collision Investigation Unit.
A London Ambulance Service spokesman said two fast response cars and two ambulance crews were sent to the scene.
