In a cost-cutting measure, World Wrestling Entertainment released “Superstar” Billy Graham, 65, from his $2,000 per month level consulting contract this past week — saving $24,000 annually.
The WWE Hall of Famer was given 90 days notice that the company was canceling the contract with one year remaining on it.
The move is said to be similar to what they did with fellow Hall of Famer Afa Anoa’i, Sr. a few weeks ago. The father of former WWE wrestler Manu was told that the company was re-evaluating all deals of that type as a result of the waning economy.
