Announcer and former WWE star Matt Striker may be feeling a bit more exposed than usual now that nude photos of the beefy behemoth have surfaced on the web. But unlike the casual whoops-shot of NFL star Chris Cooley's soft currency that made the rounds last year, these definitely "NSFW" snaps show a lot more meat and a lot more intent.
The story, picked up by a few celebrity blogs and covered by a WWE News fanblog, holds that Striker took and sent the shots to someone, who sent them to someone else, and so forth.
Somewhere in there the pics made it to the world wide web, so much so that a simple Googling (yes, it is a verb) of the wrestler's curiously gay porn-like nom de guerre quickly places web trawlers squarely R-rated territory.
The WWE has been under some pressure to adjust its content since the appointment of WWE board member Linda Edwards-McMahon (wife of WWE Chairman Vince McMahon) to the Connecticut State Board of Education.
In an attempt to eliminate fodder for Edwards-McMahon's "political enemies," the WWE fan blog states "the company is telling everyone there is to be...very little sexuality aside for some comedy bits...and a more clean and wholesome family product." As clean and wholesome as staged matches between scantily clad musclemen who have been known to throw chairs and stuff spaghetti into one another's faces can be, that is.
Despite the WWE's apparent attempts to clean up its act, there has been no response as yet in support or opposition to the Striker stripping from the company, and word has it that nudity isn't all that uncommon with Striker.
The photos come in a set which includes face and body shots of the former high school social studies teacher-turned WWE star-turned color commentator, although the money shots, in which he is clearly standing at attention, are not accompanied by a face.
Whereas Cooley was forced to undergo a mental health inspection after his slip-out slip-up, it appears Striker may be off the hook. A reason to appreciate the WWE? You be the judge.
