RANDY Orton's threatening behaviour towards a Mexican TV host was a set-up planned beforehand, according to the WWE.
A spokesman for the company confirmed to SunSport that the WWE champion was only pretending to go berserk, after the interviewer accused him of being "fragile".
Known in the wrestling industry as a 'work', the incident was part of a way to promote Orton's unstable bad guy character.
After talking about what he had eaten for breakfast, Randy - carrying his championship belt - took offence to the next question about him being "fragile" due to injuries.
He took off his inquisitor's glasses and told the presenter: "Listen, you wanna talk s**t to me on your own show here and make you look cool here.
"You wanna look cool? Say it to my face. Why you turning red? I'm serious. I'm serious.
"Look at me. Look at me. Look at me. Look at me! LOOK AT ME!
"Now say it again. Say it again. I dare you to say it again! CALL ME FRAGILE!
"I will headbutt your teeth through your skull! Do you hear me?"
Orton closed by more calmly saying, "I'm done" before he left the set.
