WWE announcer Jerry Lawler sent a new, upgraded WWE Title belt to the New York Yankees to replace their replica title belt that is passed around in the Yankees clubhouse.
This season, the Yankees have been handing out the replica title belt to the "player of the game" after each game victory.
Lawler sent an upgraded title belt to Yankees pitcher C.C. Sabathia, who used to pitch for Lawler's favorite team, the Cleveland Indians.
Sabathia was asked by N.Y. reporters whether he would enter a WWE ring with the title belt, but Sabathia shot that idea down.
"No way," Sabathia said. "I'll never get in there. Ever."
